Celebrate! For two years, The Word for All Nations along with Prison Fellowship Rwanda has been working diligently alongside Kimonyi Reconciliation Village in gathering seed capital for animal husbandry programs, a dance troupe, and a sewing cooperative–all bearing fruit daily.
We want to build on the momentum and help more women to move from extreme poverty to being able to provide for themselves and their families. Once again, we are partnering with Prison Fellowship Rwanda and the Kimonyi Reconciliation Village, seeking to raise funds between now and September 30th for two more sewing cooperatives.
If you haven’t already done so, watch the one-minute video above. It says more than we can put into words!
This $10,000 for Kimonyi fundraiser will set up TWO cooperatives, at $5000 each. Each $5,000 we raise will buy 10 machines, fabric, and materials for new sewing course graduates who can immediately go into business upon graduation.
Besides purchasing machines and training students, your donation will rent a shop in Musunze, Rwanda’s premiere tourist gateway to the Gorilla Park. And, it will buy the new cooperative two electric embroidery machines, fabric, and a computer, printer and software, with training for the coop manager and assistant manager. Everything they need to get started with a new sustainable micro-business! With your help, this summer’s $10,000 for Kimonyi initiative will make a real impact on many lives, building independence and multiplying the harvest already underway.
