My week has been full of emotions and I will probably only be able to process everything much later. My days are long but I feel blessed.

The visits to the 2 Genocide Memorials were intense. How evil can the human heart be, and to think that so much evil was committed in  churches! I am glad that I could then visit the Reconciliation Village where people who were raped and whose families were murdered now live alongside the murderers in the homes they built for them. A picture of redemption.

I have been in Cyangugu since Tuesday and have been ministering alongside Bishop Geoffrey. We attended a rally along with 150,000 well-disciplined and joyous Rwandans. Bishop Geoffrey and I had the privilege shaking president Kagame’s hand. I was so impressed with his humility and lack of negativity towards his opponents. Please keep the country in prayer as they draw close to their general election.

I spent one day attending a historical meeting of 23 denominations and two mayors. This was a first according to Bishop Geoffrey. From there I left to do a teaching for a number of Anglican priests. Another late night.

We spent Saturday in jail: first speaking to 300 top leaders who are still in jail for their part in the genocide. The Holy Spirit was present in glory and they were very open to my message.  They asked for a follow-up, so we will return on Tuesday. In the afternoon, the wardens opened the whole jail to us and we were surrounded by 2500 murderers and rapists.  They beamed my message to the other 2500 prisoners who could not fit into the open area. I experienced this as similar to a revival.

My heart is full and I am humbled by the Lord’s grace and for the favor we have with whomever we come in contact with.

On Sunday I will be a speaker at an interdenominational meeting. We expect the Lord to bring much healing there too.

Please pray for Bishop Geoffrey and I as we minister in the area of reconciliation: denominationally and amongst the perpetrators and perpetrated.
